Openborder partners with leading ecommerce brands to scale international revenue. The business started as the internal platform of a larger consumer brand holding company, Pangaea Holdings, which drove more than 50% of revenue from international markets. 

2023

OpenBorder is founded.

In March of 2023, Richard Hong and Darwish Gani, co-founders of Pangaea Holdings, spun OpenBorder into its own company with a mission to help ecommerce brands unlock international growth.

2024

Growth across the board.

In 2024, the OpenBorder team grew to 50+ employees across the globe, released a full suite of products built to help brands grow internationally, and continued gaining steam with merchants.

2025

Leading growth platform.

With hundreds of merchants now leveraging OpenBorder's international growth solution, 2025 has been a year of OpenBorder establishing trust and continuing to build for merchants' needs.
