How Bloom Nutrition did it

Bloom Nutrition was shipping internationally from the US. Delivery times were slow. Repeat purchases — critical for a subscription brand — were lower internationally than domestically.
After moving to in-country fulfillment with OpenBorder, delivery times across the UK and EU dropped to 1–3 days. International revenue grew 3× in 12 months. Conversion rates went up 40%.

Frequently asked questions
How do you decide which markets to stock inventory in?
We look at your existing international sales data — orders, revenue, repeat purchase rate by country. If a market is driving meaningful volume and showing healthy unit economics, it's a strong candidate. If you're testing a new market for the first time, we usually recommend starting with cross-border shipping and moving to in-country fulfillment once the demand is proven.
Do I need to commit to a minimum inventory level?
No long-term inventory commitments. You decide how much stock to send to each region based on your sales velocity. We help you model the right amount for your business.
What happens if a SKU is out of stock in a local warehouse?
Our routing logic automatically falls back to the next-best fulfillment option — typically cross-border shipping from your US warehouse. Your customer still gets their order. You see the stock-out in your dashboard so you can rebalance inventory.
Can I keep my existing US 3PL and add OpenBorder for international?
Yes, your US fulfillment stays where it is. We add the international layer — handling international warehouses, customs, and routing — on top of your existing setup.
How long does it take to set up a new fulfillment region?
Once your inventory ships, you're typically operational within 2–4 weeks. That includes warehouse onboarding, inventory sync to your Shopify, and routing setup. Your team doesn't manage the process — we do.
